Multi-Floor Office Interior Refurbishment
The Brief
Fusion Surfaces was appointed to carry out a multi-floor office interior refurbishment within a commercial building undergoing wider improvements. The project involved upgrading key areas across four floors, including lobby doors, washroom cubicle systems, IPS panels and a large reception desk. The existing finishes throughout the building featured a dated brown colour scheme that no longer reflected the modern interior the client wanted to achieve. Rather than replacing these elements, the refurbishment focused on transforming the existing surfaces using architectural vinyl wrapping, allowing the building to be modernised efficiently while minimising disruption.
The Solution
Architectural vinyl wrapping allowed multiple interior elements to be upgraded while retaining the existing fixtures.
Across the four floors, each lobby contained eight doors, all of which were wrapped in a sleek grey finish to replace the previous brown surfaces. The washrooms were also refurbished, with cubicle systems, doors and IPS panels wrapped in the same modern finish to maintain visual consistency throughout the building.
The reception desk formed a key feature of the refurbishment. To match the design concept provided in CGI visuals, the vertical surfaces of the desk were wrapped in grey, while the countertop was finished in a wood grain effect. This combination introduced warmth and contrast to the reception area.
The Process
The project was delivered in phases to align with the building’s operational requirements.
Each floor was completed separately, allowing other areas of the building to remain accessible while work progressed. A team of installers completed each phase within two days, carefully wrapping lobby doors, washroom cubicle systems and IPS panels before moving to the next level.
This phased approach ensured the refurbishment remained efficient while keeping disruption to a minimum.
The Transformation
The completed refurbishment introduced a noticeably more contemporary environment throughout the building.
The previous brown finishes were replaced with clean grey surfaces that create a more refined and professional appearance. The reception desk now acts as a central design feature, combining the grey vertical elements with a warm wood grain countertop.
Through multi-floor office interior refurbishment, the building achieved a cohesive upgrade across its communal areas without replacing the existing joinery.

Client Advantages
The refurbishment delivered several benefits for the building’s owners:
Four floors upgraded through phased installation
Lobby doors, washroom cubicles and IPS panels refurbished in place
Reception desk transformed to match the interior design concept
Installation completed quickly with minimal disruption
Significant cost savings compared with replacing joinery
Retaining the existing structures also reduced waste, supporting a more sustainable refurbishment approach.
Conclusion
This project at Findel House demonstrates how multi-floor office interior refurbishment can modernise commercial buildings efficiently.
By using architectural vinyl wrapping, Fusion Surfaces upgraded multiple interior elements across four floors while keeping the building operational. The result is a cohesive and contemporary office environment that aligns with modern workplace design expectations.
