Office Interior Door Refurbishment
The Brief
Fusion Surfaces partnered once again with long-term client Cubic Works to deliver an office interior door refurbishment within a prestigious office building in Manchester.
As part of a wider refurbishment programme, 17 doors and architraves required upgrading to align with the building’s updated interior scheme. In addition, glazed office partitions needed enhanced privacy without reducing natural light. The goal was to achieve a cohesive and modern finish while integrating seamlessly into the wider works programme.
The Solution
Fusion Surfaces refurbished the existing doors using commercial vinyl wrapping rather than replacement.
Installers wrapped 17 doors and surrounding architraves to introduce a consistent and contemporary finish. Meanwhile, the team applied reeded glass film to glazed partitions throughout the office. This solution enhanced privacy while maintaining light flow between workspaces.
By upgrading existing surfaces in situ, the refurbishment reduced cost and avoided disruption associated with joinery replacement.
The Process
Working within Cubic Works’ refurbishment schedule, Fusion Surfaces coordinated installation alongside other trades on site.
Installers prepared each door carefully to ensure a durable finish. Architraves were wrapped with precision to maintain clean detailing across corridors and office entrances. Meanwhile, the reeded glass film was applied evenly across glazed partitions to achieve consistent alignment.
Consequently, the project progressed efficiently without interrupting other fit-out activities.
The Transformation
Following completion, the refurbished doors and glazed partitions presented a cohesive and refined appearance.
Previously dated finishes were replaced with modern surfaces that enhanced the overall interior design. Importantly, the office interior door refurbishment delivered the impact of new joinery without the cost or disruption of full replacement.
The reeded glass film added a contemporary privacy solution that added to the workspace aesthetic.
