o2 Arena

The Brief
The O2 Arena needed to refresh its hospitality boxes, which were beginning to look tired and outdated. A full replacement wasn’t feasible due to time constraints and event scheduling, so they approached Fusion Surfaces to help transform the space using vinyl wrap. The brief: modernise the built-in bar units and fitted furniture, with minimal disruption to the venue’s packed calendar.
The Solution
We proposed architectural vinyl wrapping as the perfect low-disruption alternative to replacement. Working closely with the O2’s team, we supplied a range of finishes tailored to the look they wanted to achieve. The final choices were a dark Marquina marble effect and a painted dark grey woodgrain, both from the LX Hausys range – ideal for delivering a premium, contemporary look.
The Process
We began with two trial boxes in July, allowing the client to see the finishes and quality up close. After receiving positive feedback, the scope was expanded to include frosted film on the fridge doors and bar glass panels for a more cohesive design.
Given the arena’s demanding schedule, work had to be completed between events, often with only 6-hour access windows. Our team completed the job over two working days each week throughout August, averaging four boxes per day, with strict attention to logistics and timing.
