We were contacted by the project manager to ask us to work on a bathroom refurbishment in a large office block in Peterborough. The job was to be completed in four phases to ensure as little disruption as possible to the clients.
Working on both male and female cubicles at one time, our installers wrapped the doors, vanity units and strips. There were other contractors on site, but we worked easily around them. It took one day to complete one male and female block.
There was some filling to do and the replacement of some joinery on some of the vanity units. Once completed, the cubicles were transformed from a tired and dated light purple to a modern and classy light grey wood. And, more importantly, the bathrooms are now super hygienic – an absolute must for communal toilets in this day and age!
A hygienic and aesthetically pleasing bathroom fit out for this office block. Cost were kept down by having a vinyl installation over a rip out and replace approach.
Older than the rest of the team, but not necessarily wiser as she’d like to think. There’s not an activity under the sun that she’s not been willing to have a go at, resulting in a mediocre ukulele player, part-time blogger, one-time skydiver and an unfinished sitcom script. There’s no room for shades of grey in this half of the partnership; everything comes down to looking after people who are important.
Organising tradesmen is not a task for the fainthearted. She’s the only Southerner on the team, but we try not to hold it against her too much. If anything, we’ve enjoyed introducing Jade to a vast number of pie shops now she’s a Northern resident. Standing at a phenomenal 5’2”, she is living proof that big things come in small packages; a mix of infectious enthusiasm, laughter, loyalty, authority and uncanny Theresa May impressions.
