The Brief
Fusion Surfaces was approached by Nik, the project manager from ODB Group, with a challenge to modernise old, dated doors in a building undergoing a fit-out. Our task was to revitalise 14 doors, including those with vision panels and plain doors, along with their frames, using a stylish grey vinyl wrap.
The Consultation
Faced with a tight timeframe, our communication with Nik was key. We had just ten days to organise the entire job, from ordering samples and materials to coordinating our team of installers. The goal was to ensure a seamless and timely execution that met ODB Group’s expectations.
The Transformation
The existing office doors were given a new lease of life with a premium finish from the LX Hausys Benif range. Now in keeping with the fresh theme of the building, the previously brown wooden doors were transformed to blend in with the new environment, finishing off the refurbishment to a high standard.
The Process
With the assistance of 3 installers, we successfully completed the project in just 2 days. Prior to our arrival, the joiners removed the doors, allowing our team to focus solely on the installation. Since the doors were in excellent condition, minimal preparation was needed, apart from a thorough cleaning to ensure a dust-free surface for the vinyl application. As an added touch, the frames were also vinyl wrapped, enhancing the overall desired effect.
The Outcome
Nik was exceptionally pleased with the outcome. Our efficiency and the smooth delivery of the project within the set deadline left a significant impact. The transformation endowed the doors with a fresh, contemporary look, completely altering their appearance and feel. In his own words, Nik said, “Thanks very much for your team’s efforts.
