Spring Gardens, an office block in the heart of Manchester, contacted us in regards to refurbishing its lift interiors and exteriors, alongside a significant update to 20 doors. Tasked with this project, Cubic Works sought out our expertise to ensure that these changes not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal but also aligned with the wider refurbishment objectives of the building.

The Consultation
A dark wood effect was chosen for the doors, creating a striking contrast against the building’s new green marble in the bathrooms and dark blue panelling in the lobby area. For the lifts, a sophisticated palette of bronze and white was selected to replace the previous clinical appearance with one of luxury. The LX Hausys Benif architectural film range was suggested as our material of choice, offering the dual benefits of fire safety and style.
The Process
Our longstanding relationship with Cubic Works helped us with another great collaboration. After careful selection and approval of materials that aligned with the specified design, our team of two skilled installers began the fitting of architectural film. Through strategic planning and phased execution, we ensured that each step of the transformation was completed with precision, on time and within budget.
The Transformation
The transformation at Spring Gardens is now fit for the new tenants of the building. The once uninspiring grey doors are now striking, their dark wood finish complementing the building’s interior design trends. However, it was the lifts that underwent the most dramatic transformation, now befitting of a high-end fit out.

The refurbishment was a success all round, particularly the lifts, which now offer an experience that is more than the ordinary. This project not only improved the visual appeal of Spring Gardens but also its functional value.
