The Solution

Vinyl wrapping the existing doors was presented as a viable alternative to replacing all the doors. This innovative technique offered several advantages, including cost-effectiveness, minimal disruption, and the ability to achieve a fresh, modern look without the hassle of removing and reinstalling doors.

The Process

The door vinyl wrapping project at Runnymede Hotel involved several key steps:

  1. Consultation and Design: The team at Warner Hotels collaborated with Fusion to determine the best approach for updating their doors. This included selecting the appropriate interior film material and colour scheme to match the hotel’s desired aesthetic.

  2. Preparation: To ensure a smooth installation process, our joinery team removed and reinstalled the door hardware, such as handles and locks, before the wrapping began. This allowed the vinyl wrapping team to focus on applying the vinyl material without interference.

  3. Vinyl Application: The vinyl wrapping team carefully applied the vinyl material to each door, ensuring a precise and seamless fit. The vinyl was cut to size and adhered to the doors using specialised techniques to guarantee a high-quality finish.

  4. Hardware Reinstallation: Once the vinyl wrapping was complete, the joinery team reinstalled the door hardware, restoring the doors to their original functionality.

The Transformation

The door vinyl wrapping project had a dramatic impact on the appearance of Runnymede Hotel’s guest rooms and corridors. The doors, which were previously outdated and lacked a modern feel, were transformed with a fresh, vibrant look. Vinyl wrapping not only enhanced the visual appeal of the doors but also created a more inviting and welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Client Advantages

Runnymede Hotel benefited significantly from choosing vinyl door wrapping as a solution for their modernisation project:

  • Cost-effective: Vinyl door wrapping was significantly more affordable than replacing all the doors, providing a substantial cost saving for the hotel.

  • Minimal disruption: The project was completed with minimal impact on guest stays and hotel operations, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.

  • Enhanced aesthetics: The vinyl door wrapping transformed the appearance of the guest rooms and corridors, creating a more modern and inviting atmosphere.

  • Fire safety: The vinyl material used for the project was fire-rated, providing peace of mind and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

  • Customised design: The hotel was able to collaborate with Fusion to select a vinyl finish that perfectly matched their desired aesthetic, creating a unique and personalised look.

Conclusion

The door wrapping project at Runnymede Hotel demonstrated the effectiveness of this innovative technique for refreshing a hotel’s interior. By choosing door wrapping, the hotel was able to achieve a modern and inviting atmosphere while minimising disruption and costs. This case study highlights the potential benefits of vinyl door wrapping for businesses seeking to update their facilities without the hassle and expense of full renovations.

Co-Founder

Older than the rest of the team, but not necessarily wiser as she’d like to think. There’s not an activity under the sun that she’s not been willing to have a go at, resulting in a mediocre ukulele player, part-time blogger, one-time skydiver and an unfinished sitcom script. There’s no room for shades of grey in this half of the partnership; everything comes down to looking after people who are important.

Organising tradesmen is not a task for the fainthearted. But recruiting the right tradesmen, ones who align with our values and are highly skilled at what they do makes for a much more harmonious project management process. Rosie’s role begins with a meeting to discuss your requirements, providing you with a quotation and carries through to the on-site management of your project.

She’s the only Southerner on the team, but we try not to hold it against her too much. If anything, we’ve enjoyed introducing Jade to a vast number of pie shops now she’s a Northern resident. Standing at a phenomenal 5’2”, she is living proof that big things come in small packages; a mix of infectious enthusiasm, laughter, loyalty, authority and uncanny Theresa May impressions.

Communicating with our clients is Jade’s forte. Being highly organised and placing customer satisfaction at the forefront of everything she does means that from enquiry to completion, your queries will be dealt with efficiently. For an in depth knowledge of the material specification of our interior film, Jade is your woman. She will put your mind at rest that not only do we install this product, but we make sure that is the most suitable for your needs.
